The company has been awarded two medals at this year's International Brewing Awards held at the National Brewery Centre at Burton on Trent, picking up a Bronze for its Liberation 140 Ale and Gold, for the second consecutive Awards, for Liberation Ale. Only Gold medal winners are selected to be considered by the eminent panel of judges to be named Champion Beer in its category, which will be announced at a gala event at London's Guildhall in April.
Liberation 140 was brewed especially to celebrate Liberation Brewery's 140 years of brewing in the Channel Islands. Only a limited number of special presentation bottles were produced and the judges awarded it a Bronze in the Dark Beer category.
Liberation Ale is sold across the Channel Islands and is exported through selected pub chains in Britain, including JD Wetherspoon and Mitchell and Butler inns. The judges once again picked it out from tough competition to be awarded the Gold medal in the Cask Ale 3.9% to 4.3% ABV class of the International Cask Ale category.

The International Brewing Awards were started in 1886 and are held bi-annually. They are recognised as the most important celebration of brewing quality and standards around the world and are often referred to as the Brewing Oscars.
