Following recent strong winds, Liberation Group are appealing to Islanders to help with their search for any fallen oak branches that could be used to make the tap handles for their Blonde Craft Beer.

Craft Beer tap handles are well known for their unique and original designs and Liberation Group have commissioned fellow Genuine Jersey member, Jersey Oak, with carving a selection of bespoke handles for use across the Group’s pubs. A shortage of suitable oak on the Island has, however, forced the project to stall as Jersey Oak desperately tries to source additional supplies.
Simon Bellwood of Jersey Oak said: ‘We’re looking for local oak tree branches with a diameter of between 25mm – 30mm. We’ve had some strong winds over the last few weeks so it may be that some oak branches have blown down in parks and gardens. Alternatively, if people are thinking of pruning their oak trees and can spare some branches, we’d be very grateful if they could contact us.’
